Fragrance plays a powerful role in how we experience the world. Whether you want to spice up your daily routine, unwind after a long day, create a welcoming atmosphere for guests, or simply make your home smell amazing, fragrance oils are a versatile and budget-friendly way to elevate your space.

Unlike essential oils, which are extracted from plants, fragrance oils are synthetically crafted or blended to produce consistent, long-lasting scents. From warm vanilla to fresh linen or exotic amber, there’s a fragrance oil for every mood and moment. Below are a few ways you can easily use Uncle Shorty's Oils (number 7 is our favorite).

1. Diffuse with an Oil Warmer or Diffuser

The simplest and most effective way to enjoy Uncle Shorty's Oils in your home is with a diffuser. Choose between:

  • Electric oil warmers, which gently heat the oil to release its scent.

  • Reed diffusers, for a flame-free, low-maintenance option.

  • Ultrasonic diffusers, ideal for dispersing fragrance into larger spaces (just be sure yours is compatible with synthetic oils).

Pro Tip: Use just a few drops of fragrance oil—these formulas are concentrated, and a little goes a long way.

2. Refresh Potpourri or Dried Flowers

Revive tired potpourri or dried floral arrangements with a few drops of fragrance oil. Simply sprinkle the oil directly onto the dried materials and give them a gentle toss. Within minutes, your potpourri will be back in action, filling your room with beautiful aroma.

3. Make DIY Room and Linen Sprays

Create your own custom spray with just three ingredients:

  • 1 cup distilled water

  • 1 tablespoon witch hazel or rubbing alcohol

  • 10–15 drops of your favorite Uncle Shorty's oil

Mix in a spray bottle and shake before each use. Spritz over curtains, bedding, throw pillows, or into the air to instantly freshen up any room.

4. Use in Wax Melts or Candle Warmers

If you enjoy wax melts, you can add a few drops of fragrance oil directly to unscented wax in your warmer. As the wax melts, it releases the aroma into your space. Just be sure to use a burner designed for wax and oils, and avoid overloading with oil to prevent smoking.

5. Scent Your Cleaning Routine

Turn chores into something you actually look forward to (yes, really) by adding fragrance oils to:

  • Mop water

  • Homemade countertop sprays

  • Laundry rinse cycles (use sparingly and in a rinse ball or with wool dryer balls)

This small touch makes everyday cleaning feel a little more luxurious.

6. Fragrance Drawers and Closets

Apply a few drops of fragrance oil to cotton balls or felt pads and tuck them into drawers, closets, or storage bins. It’s a simple way to keep clothes and linens smelling fresh. You can also refresh old sachets by adding a drop or two of oil.

7. Wear Them!

Uncle Shorty's Oils come in convenient roll on bottles, perfect for quick application as part of your morning routine. Tuck them into a purse or gym bag for a mid-day refresh, or keep them in your car for scents on the go! All of our roll-on bottles are TSA carry-on size so you can travel with them too!
